With just 25 days to go until March for Babies, the Team Captain Luncheon in Portland was all-a-buzz. And we’re not just saying that because 105.1 The Buzz morning DJ Cruze was emceeing.
Dazzling as he was, the crowd was awed by Chapter Ambassador Mary Pat Janowski sharing her story. And Lisa Lawrence, Team Captain from Top 10 Team Liberty Northwest, gave excellent tips for bringing in the big bucks for babies. Hold a Mad Hatter contest was one of Lisa’s tips (as evidenced by her awesome March of Dimes Purple hat).
New March for Babies Director Shelli Blank gave some great suggestions as well. Have some die-hard Ducks and Beavers fans? Put that competitive spirit to work by having them agree to dress in the their rival team’s colors if they don’t meet their fundraising goal. If they happen to be men, have them go the extra mile by wearing the rival team’s cheerleading outfits. That’ll make sure they meet their fundraising goals!
